Potable Water Infrastructure - Marita Hunt

Images: Marita Hunt
The course this blog is associated with is over now, and it is time to show the work of some of the students.
The infrastructure Marita Hunt was dealing with was potable water, and she designed a development based around projected water uses. Large users of water are clustered at one edge of the development, progressing to lighter users. This clustering is an essential part of the water management - grey water from each building is treated within an internal courtyard for the block and stored. Buildings on that block can then use the treated grey water.
This project works very responsively and efficiently to water conservation and effectively breaks down the monolithic water infrastructure to a radical micro-scaled infrastructure.
